| BPDB owns and operates the
high voltage transmission network throughout Bangladesh. The national grid operates at 230
kv and 132 Kv and controls and manages the second to second operation of electricity
transmission system, balancing electricity generation to meet the demand. Salient features of BPDB's transmission network is - Grid Substations Capacity : 7095 MVA Total Transformers : 157 Total Substations : 68 Nos. (8 Nos.230 kv and 60 Nos. 132 kv)
